From criminal to celeb
The 30-year-old's mugshot made him a celebrity overnight, earning him millions of fans, even behind bars.
Jeremy Meeks has been signed by the White Cross Management with the smouldering photo now appearing on the model agency’s website and the 30-year-old is already planning a new fashion career when he gets out of prison.
Meek’s mugshot went viral on the internet, ironically earning him millions of admirers around the world, and new nicknames including “Hotty McMug Shot” and “Mugshot McDreamy”.
The smooth criminal became an overnight celebrity, all because of that mugshot posted last year on the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page.
Meeks is already enjoying his new found fame even from behind bars, as he revealed he gets hundreds of letters every month from fans.

He looked so photogenic in the shot, showing his chiselled jawline, razor sharp cheekbones and baby-blue eyes, that the model agency, based in LA and New York recognised his potential.
He is currently serving two years for felony possession of a firearm, but with the chance of an early release in November, the Californian hopes that the modelling career will change his fortune.
“I'm in a place where I will be able to provide for my family and really change my life,” the Californian told ABC News.
“I never thought that everyone in the world would recognise me for my looks, so I feel extremely blessed and very thankful.”
Meeks agent, Jim Jordan, said: “A sea of opportunities await him with modelling agencies around the world, endorsement deals and reality show interests.”
Don’t be surprised if you spot him in fashion campaigns next year.
